Some of the hottest food packaging materials still

Some food packaging materials still have potential food safety hazards

food safety has always been the focus of our attention in daily life, because it is directly related to our health. However, China Packaging learned that recently, the food contact materials laboratory of Changzhou inspection and quarantine bureau continuously detected several batches of paper plastic, aluminum plastic and plastic composite food packaging solvent residues that exceeded the limit requirements of China's national standard gb/t. China Packaging believes that relevant departments and enterprises should attach great importance to this kind of packaging material with potential food safety hazards

China's national standard gb/t "plastic composite film for packaging, bag dry compounding, extrusion compounding" stipulates that the total amount of solvent residues shall not exceed 5mg/m2, and benzene solvents shall not be detected (the detection limit is 0.01mg/m2). Among the products exceeding the standard, the detected residual solvents are mostly volatile solvents such as ethyl acetate, acetone, ethanol, etc

it is understood that the solvent residues in composite food packaging mainly come from various solvents used in the production process of printing, compounding and coating of composite food packaging. Although the toxicity of solvents such as ethanol and ethyl acetate is low, the taste of food will be affected when the solvent residue is high. Therefore, China's national standard gb/t clearly stipulates the limit of the total amount of solvent residue, especially for benzene solvents with high toxicity, it puts forward a strict limit of 0.01mg/m2 that cannot be detected. In recent years, the problem of residual solvents in food packaging bags has attracted wide attention from all walks of life, prompting manufacturers to strictly screen raw materials, improve processes, and abandon benzene solvents, so that the typical representative of the residual conventional ABS alloy in compound food packaging solvents is: 2002-t4 has maintained a good quality condition. However, with the development of the national economy and the acceleration of the pace of life, the national demand for packaged food has increased significantly, and the demand of food production enterprises for packaging materials has also increased. In order to meet the demand, some food packaging production enterprises worked overtime and overloaded, only to catch up with the delivery time and complete the production tasks, and ignored the control of residual solvents. The loose control of raw materials, insufficient drying temperature and time and other process deviations have led to the compact structure of the solvent residue drop hammer impact tester, leaving excessive conditions for many times

food packaging enterprises should pay full attention to the problem of excessive solvent residues, optimize the structure, be reasonable, reliable, durable, select raw materials and control the process, so as to ensure that solvent residues are within the qualified limit. At the same time, food enterprises must strengthen the monitoring of the residue of food packaging solvents entering the factory to prevent a large number of residual solvents from volatilizing in the food processing area, resulting in peculiar smell or solvent pollution of food

finally, I hope that all major food packaging enterprises should abide by the law and strictly follow the prescribed standards to produce, so as to fundamentally solve the hidden dangers of food safety
